Nine years ago, Apple launched the 1st iPhone, with the slogan, “This is only the beginning.” Since then, there have been more than 8 new updates (or versions, including “s” & “c” series), and the strive for excellence continues.
Was the first version perfect? By all means, it was not. Yet, they launched it and the smartphone became a game changer in the mobile world.
If Apple had waited to perfect the iPhone, it would not be in the forefront of the smartphone industry today.
Such is the case with social media progress. A lot of our members want to learn, learn and learn, without doing anything, without putting anything into practice, for fear of lack of perfection. As a result, they do not learn much because without practicing and without making mistakes, they cannot grow; they cannot understand; they cannot become better. Every professional was once an amateur; that amateur refused to stay a beginner and continued to put into practice what they learned, every day, month and year. Consequently, they became worthy of being called a professional.
So my humble advice to all of our members, is to please start and do. Enough reading and watching videos. Put into practice what you have learned and then watch more videos and read more books, and then, repeat the process. In the iconic words of Nike, “Just Do It.”
