So, still learning new things every day (some not so new) even at my store Parcel Room We see freight shipments that usually don’t fall within the Gypsy moth guidelines but now we all have to add this to the list of things to remember. Mostly for stores that are in quarantined areas you have to send an inspection report along with your freight. In most cases this is limited to personal belongings that are kept or used outside, or plants or plant products. Check anything that is stored outside.
Clearly this is becoming more of an issue as they carriers are tightening controls. You can find the file on the freight page, I would recommend downloading it and keeping a copy on your desktop. Anytime in doubt complete the report and send with the driver. Be sure to keep a copy (it is recommended to keep it for 5 years). I would scan it into your system along with a copy of the BOL and a copy of your stores paperwork.
