Print Pricing for Profit – Learn how to figure your true costs for print items. Get advice on markups and profit margins. Steve will open up his own books and show you what he charges and how much profit you should be making. See when to print in house versus using a wholesale provider. Create winning print bids and landing whales.

Behind the Wholesale Curtain – Get a detailed tour of the best wholesale print providers. Look at how their websites are set up and what their order processes are. Learn what their file setup specifications mean and how to make sure what you order is what you get. Finally, learn how to leverage their capabilities to augment your own print offerings.

Basics of Freight – What is freight? Who are the common carriers? What’s different about freight than small package shipping? What are differences in ocean, air, and car freight? In this introduction to freight session, we’ll give you the foundations you’ll need for later classes in the day that delve deeper into freight ins and outs and how to grow and capitalize on this huge profit center in your business…no matter how much space you do or don’t have, and no matter what your experience level is!

Freight Pricing for Profit – In this section, we’ll go over how pricing and freight classes work, let you know what to look out for when setting freight prices and rates, review best practices in record keeping, including photos and weight documentation, talk about freight insurance, talk about how to profit off of freight packing, and give other resources for doing freight.

How to Successfully Do Freight – To wrap up our freight class triad, masters of freight will discuss when crating and/or palletizing is necessary, what tools and supplies you’ll need, how to fill in bills of lading and properly mark package items, and discuss how the carriers load the trucks and how to avoid damage.
