AMBC was looking forward to sponsoring and attending The 2021 Visionary Summit this October in St. Louis. However, after it was announced that Retail Shippers Expo would take place in Dallas on the weekend before the scheduled summit, the AMBC board and staff felt it best not to make our team, our fellow AMBC Members, and our AMBC Trusted Suppliers have to travel to–or choose between–two important events on two consecutive weekends, and so we made the tough decision to pull our support for The 2021 Visionary Summit.

Here is an update from The 2021 Visionary Summit’s host:

“At this time, Eliot and The Mail Box Store, who was hosting and leading The Summit, has decided to cancel this event. Given we are just coming out of COVID and the importance of unity and not competing for attendees, it would not be in the industry’s best interest to continue. However, with this being said, it’s also our pleasure to announce a different format for 2022. The Mail Box Store will host a completely different summit experience in the spring of 2022. The details will be announced soon, along with the early commitments of over 40 vendors for this amazing program. It’s sure going to be an event you don’t want to miss! This event will not be sponsored by any one organization other than The Mail Box Store, but will be open to all vendors, associations, groups, and vendors for participation at the level of their choosing. This is going to be done in order to provide a complete, cohesive opportunity for all.”

While we very much regret not being able to participate in the 2021 Visionary Summit, many AMBC Members, including most of the AMBC board, do plan to attend the Retail Shippers Expo–October 6-10 in Dallas (rscentral.org/Events/RS-Expo)–and we hope to see you there! It promises to be a great event, complete with our industry’s largest trade show, POS training, networking opportunities, and classes.

For the rest of 2021, AMBC will continue to provide as many virtual events as possible through our popular town hall meetings and online classes. Then, in 2022, we plan to resume AMBC hosted and/or AMBC sponsored in-person events, with exciting plans already brewing. Stay tuned!
